News April 16, 2013 The new generation Easy Locator HDR (High Dynamic Range) is now available from Terraplus. Its technology has been optimized for utility locating and offers a significantly better depth penetration and higher resolution than its predecessor.  March 3, 2013 A rectangular sensor coil is now available for the KT-10 v2, KT-10 Plus v2, KT-10 C, KT-10 S/C and KT-10 Plus S/C. A benefit of the rectangular coil is that it allows users to measure cores with small or medium diameters in the core box. The standard circular coil is still available for users measuring rock samples, outcrops and cores.  February 29, 2013 Three new induced polarization (IP) full wave recorders are now available: the V-Full Waver two channel distributer receiver, the I-Full Waver to accurately measure and log the IAB injected current, and the Elrec Pro. Previously purchased Elrec Pro receivers can be upgraded to include the Full Wave Form capability. February 14, 2013 Terraplus is pleased to announce that we have added the Q40RES-1000-IP Induced Polarization/Resistivity Probe to our rental pool. Users can configure ten time windows during the chargeability decay to characterize the IP response. The Q40RES-1000-IP is a quick link (QL) probe which means it can be stacked with other QL probes to allow users to take different measurements in one log. It can also be run as a stand alone probe. January 31, 2013 Terraplus is pleased to introduce the Gyro Shot Gyroscopically-Oriented Borehole Survey Tool and the MI5 Digital Borehole Survey Tool. Both tools measure the inclination and azimuth of a borehole, but the Gyro Shot, with its tri-axial gyroscope, is able to run inside the drill rods or in a highly magnetic environment. We rent and sell both systems. January 18, 2013 The Syscal Junior and Syscal R1 Plus Resistivity Meters are now available with two simultaneous measurement channels, allowing users to increase their productivity in the field. This second channel is particularly useful in an ERT configuration as both the new Syscal Junior and Syscal R1 Plus can be used in 24, 48 or 72 electrode imaging system. Both resistivity meters are now also equipped with a larger LCD screen and a user initiated automatic calibration for quality control. December 19, 2012We are pleased to announce that we have added a new marine seismic system to our list of products: the GeoEel Solid Digital Marine Streamer. The GeoEel Solid Solid Marine Streamer has superior electronics with a solid active section design that delivers high 5 quality data. Separate 8-channel modules coupled with a unique slim active section design yield ultra-low towing noise levels and are largely immune to electronic interference, leakage and ground loops that plague analog streamers. The small diameter solid design (only 44.5 mm) makes the GeoEel Solid Digital Marine Streamer easy to deploy and transport. November 30, 2012 We would like to announce that a number of new features have been added to the KT-10 C, KT-10 S/C and KT-10 Plus S/C. One such feature is the ability to input depth information to correlate every core measurement to its depth. In addition, users now have the flexibility to obtain measurement results in either SI or CGS units for magnetic susceptibility (only applicable for the KT-10 S/C and KT-10 Plus S/C), and S/m or Ω.m for conductivity. Three conductivity reference pads are also now available for measurement verification. These reference pads are available are available in low, medium and high conductivity ranges. October 12, 2012 3D Vision is a concrete imaging software that allows users to import, process and visualize 3D ground penetrating radar (GPR) projects using a standard PC. Specifically developed to replicate and enhance the 3D Grid Project functionality of the CX Concrete Imaging System, this software offers an easy way to manage 3D Grid Project data collected with the CX system or the XV11 Monitor. Features within this software allow users to look down 'through' the survey area to identify targets at different depths and running in different directions. A very useful aspect of this software is the ability to enable a 'drawing tool' to highlight targets within the investigated area, which can be marked on the ground surface and approved for excavation. September 24, 2012 The next generation of magnetic susceptibility meters are now available from Terraplus. The KT-10 v2 and KT-10 Plus v2 have improved electronics which give these magnetic susceptibility meters additional capabilities that their predecessors did not possess, such as the ability to input depth correlation information, switch measurement results form SI to CGS units and an increased memory capacity. The KT-10 v2 and KT-10 Plus v2 can now also be upgraded to a KT-10 S/C or KT-10 Plus S/C Magnetic Susceptibility/Conductivity Meter. In addition to these new capabilities, the KT-10 v2 and KT-10 Plus v2 retain the same benefits offered by its predecessors such as accurate measurements, Bluetooth communication and data management/visualization software for the PC. August 13, 2012 Terraplus is pleased to introduce the DC-5150 Borehole Video Surveying System. The DC-5150 provides a comprehensive, detailed survey of water wells, boreholes, underground storage tanks and mine shafts measuring 3"-30" in diameter up-to depths of 5,000 feet. In addition to the standard downhole view, it offers a side-view perspective with continuous 360° rotation. The DC-5150 can be used with a range of winches for different depth capabilities. Please contact us for additional information. August 8, 2012 Terraplus is pleased to announce that we are adding a new instrument to the KT-10 family of products: the KT-10 C Conductivity Meter. The KT-10 C is a handheld meter that can measure the conductivity of rock samples or drill core. Its measuring range is from 1 S/m to 10,000 S/m and is extendable to 100,000 S/m in PIN mode. This instrument has additional features such as Bluetooth wireless communication, wireless data transfer and data visualization software. The KT-10 C can also be upgraded, via the internet, to a KT-10 S/C Magnetic Susceptibility/Conductivity Meter or a KT-10 Plus S/C Magnetic Susceptibility Meter/Conductivity Meter. July 25, 2012 Terraplus is pleased to announce that we have added the Shear Wave Borehole Geophones to our line of products which we distribute.  The Shear Wave Borehole Geophones are designed for shallow seismic velocity measurements.  They are applicable to a wide variety of shallow surveys including shothole logging, downhole shear wave measurements, and static corrections for petroleum shear-wave reflection surveys, cross-hole, tomographic, seam wave, and shallow VSP surveys for coal, minerals and rock mechanics.  This tool may be used in soft-wall, cased or uncased holes. July 18, 2012 We have just added the HFP-2293 Heat-Pulse Flow Meter Probe to our rental pool.  The HFP-2293 Heat-Pulse Flow Meter Probe is designed to measure low flow rates within a borehole.  The HFP-2293 has a measuring range of 0.113 L/min to 3.785 L/minute (or 0.03 gal/min to 1.0 gal/min).  The HFP-2293 also comes with MSHeat: a Windows based acquisition software.  With MSHeat, individual heat-flow wave forms can be saved, and text files with depth and flow rate can be imported into WellCAD for a histogram-type presentation. In addition to the HFP-2293 Heat-Pulse Flow Meter Probe, we have added the SeisImager/SW Surface Wave Analysis Software to our rental pool.  The SeisImager/SW is a post-processing software available for the Geode, ES-3000 and StrataVisor NZ Seismograph.  This geotechnical software is particularly useful for the following applications: Vs30/Vs100 site classification, foundation engineering, void detection, as well as in-fill and landfill investigation. April 26, 2012 Terraplus is pleased to introduce the KT-10 Plus S/C Magnetic Susceptibility/Conductivity Meter. The KT-10 Plus S/C can simultaneously measure the magnetic susceptibility and conductivity of samples or drill core; as well as the ability to only measure either magnetic susceptibility or conductivity. The KT-10 Plus S/C also has the capability to obtain the concentration estimate of iron ore in real time. We have also added the KT-10 Magnetic Susceptibility/Conductivity Meter to our rental pool. April 23, 2012 Terraplus has now added the QL40-ABI Acoustic Borehole Imager to its rental pool. This tool generates a 3D image of the borehole wall by transmitting ultrasound pulses and recording the amplitude and the travel time of the reflected signal. With its Quick Link capability, the QL40- ABI can be combined with other logging tools of the QL product line to build tool strings. It can also be operated as a stand alone tool. April 16, 2012 The RS-125 Spectrometer and the RS-230 BGO Spectrometer are now available with larger memory. The memory for both spectrometers has been increased from 2 MB to 4 MB, allowing a user to store 345,000 scan total count measurements, more than 4,000 scan and assay readings, and more than 500 assay-spectrum only readings. April 10, 2012 The Elrec Pro Switch 48 Imaging IP and Resistivity System is now available offering high productivity for dipole-dipole, gradient or extended poly-pole arrays. The Elrec Pro can also be delivered in a 24-72-96 or 120 electrode switching configuration. Current owners of Elrec Pro receivers (as long as their units have the appropriate connector) can add this capability by renting an external Switch Pro 48 IP and Resistivity Imaging module which is available in our rental pool. Additional Switch Pro modules can be connected to the Elrec Pro Switch 48 Receiver to extend its number of electrodes for large 3D investigations.
